They didn't know me. Just kids walk into the neighborhood checking doors looking to see if anything's unlocked and if there's anything easy to steal. My garage door was unlocked because I was going inside for 2 minutes. The main garage door was closed. They're not kids from my neighborhood but about a quarter mile or half mile away that just happened to walk through the neighborhood. They had good timing to find a spare set of keys that 99% of the time live inside my house

Rebuilding the doors. This time I am greatly increasing the sound absorption used.

Old fiberglass panels show no moisture issues after 2.5 years.

New install increases thickness

Adding a proper diffuser behind the speaker

Window clears

Wow, that's so clean! Very nice. Sounds like an obvious answer, but what does the diffuser do?

Breaks up the rear wave from being directly reflected back to the cone, effectiveness is based on physical size due to relationship to wavelength

Closed cell foam weatherstripping is used for gaskets around the speaker and is $3 for 10'. The fiberglass ceiling tiles are $6 each for 2'x4'.

FAST rings don't offer much for sound absorption despite product claims. I have some I've tested with.

They are ok for around speakers, just overpriced for foam.

You know that you have gotten your speaker gasketing correct when you see a continuous circular imprint in the foam. That imprint is made by the plastic shroud that seals against the factory speaker.
