2 questions need help

question one : i live in chicago and its starting to get real cold, J/W if people that live in cold take subs out of car for winter is it ok to leave in and if i do i know to play at low and build up but is it even worth the risk??

question 2:im looking at buying a broken ss 1700 d tower and getting it fixed by ss or epilson or w.e for cheap... Im looking to run my 9500 around 1.5k to 1.7k so should i stick with the ss or would an orion 1500d work better ??

any suggestions would really help me out

ive never heard anyone suggest taking them out for the winter. I live in Ohio, in 8 years of having subs in my car ive never once removed subs for the winter and havent had a single problem. my girlfriend has had the same 3 type r 10's in her car for 5 years without an issue.

so thats my own experience.
