2 FI BL's need more... not sure whats next... Comment

Well, im running 2 15" BL's in my Grand Cherokee. Dual 1's with cooling etc... on a 20.1 @.25 ohms.. Box is almost dead on recomended specs designed by Ionsql, built by myself... BB Ply... 3.4 cubes after displacment tuned to 33hz and 54 cubes of port area each... good electrical system and no power problems at all... pic below...

My issue is that I need more of course... Don’t get me wrong... its loud and hits super hard... Obviously not a wimpy setup by any means... but I just want more low end and output... I don’t play it all the time at full volume but I wouldn’t mind someone getting in my car and tossing the volume up and them having the "oh shit that’s the loudest thing I ever heard" reaction on their face. Most who have heard it are quite impressed of course but I just expected more... To be honest im after more...

After playing with every setting I could on the head unit and amps etc... I have decided I need to do something... I am thinking of a few options...

A. Try a new box with diff specs...

B. ditch the BL's and pick up 4 12's or 15's.... Thinking of SSD's or maybe the new arsenals or assassins... the problem is that I'm almost maxed out of box space so I would leave the individual chambered subs and go to a single chamber and port... I would think this might be the best bet depending on what size boxes these subs will be best in...

C. do nothing....

so... any advice from some people who have messed around with these ideas. Of course 4 subs adding area will move more air and I know it’s the fast and easy way to do it... One of the reasons I would consider doing so would be less power demand on those subs and with the dual 4 ohm vc's I would be able to wire them into .5ohm and take it easy on the 20.1.

So what do you guys think?

How much power do you think you are getting to those, 2500w rms together? I think the BL's maybe be able to handle up to 1800w rms each, with all options.

Subs up, port back, tune to 35-36, should make a nice difference!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

from the looks of it, im positive hes talkin about 3.4 per sub.

what kinda electrical you got? i know you said good, but can you go into details?

how did you set your gains?

how long have you had the bl's? enough time to break in?

cool, good idea's... Thats 3.4 cubes each of course.... lol it the box is frickin giant... electrical is a 150amp alt.... of course the big 3 in 1/0 and runs of 1/0 to the back with two kinetic hc1400's I have no voltage problems at all it will drop very slightly under load... I set the gains with a dmm... i have even played around re adjusting everything by ear and then again with dmm just to be safe... on -3db tones...
