2 FI BL's need more... not sure whats next... Comment

would be a good idea but I would like to keep my power draw about what it is now as i feel i am at or close to my limit before i need to start looking at a higher rated alt. I'm already out $400 on a alt form iraggi that was sent back and i have never been refunded for or given a replacement for... another 20.1 would mean a new custom alt and the amp... I'm really trying to think of a way to keep the one 20.1 but at least be able to do a decent hair trick... If i knew of a local with a 20.1 that i could test out and see how they reacted strapped i would do it in a second but i dont know of anyone in the northern cali area who has one or would be down for some test and tune...

i would try 8 cubes net with 125 square inches of port tuned to 31. Subs up ports back.

I'm sure you could get more power with minimal current draw increase...since your running at .25 ohm right now... Low impedances hurt efficiency. I'd imagine that 20.1 isn't doing those subs justice.

A 40.1 @ 1 ohm maybe?

something is wrong.

my 20.1 dropped the voltage at 1 ohm on my 200A mean green.

so if you got 150a AND your running it @ .25ohms, with almost no voltage drops whatsoever, the amp is simply not running to its full potential. try setting gains with a -6 db test tone.

subs up port back may be the next option but the down side of that is that i do alot of hunting and camping and fishing... i have long equipment that i like to lay on the top of the box... right now two fishing poles call the top of the box home... looks like i dont have another option tho.... and as far as the alt goes... i believe its 130@ idle so its quite a beefy alt... there is a bit of a drop but im not going into the 11's by any means. stock and off i stay around 13.6 where im regulated... if i measure with a full load on i would imagine i would be around 12.7+ ill have to take a look... its a decent alt... way out performed my 225a iraggi....

What year is your grand cherokee?

Take it from someone who has personal experience with them, and not just forum boner riders. My grand cherokee does not like subs up, port back very much.Either subs and ports firing back, or subs foward port back. Then again, I focus more on the meter. No sense in building a new box when it won't help you though.

But honestly, do not build a new box, subs up port back and expecting it to increase output. It's not for all vehicles.

its a 98 5.9 limited. i have talked to several people with xj znd zj's who have all said subs and port back have been the way to go in these... thats why i built this box this way...

Not interested in going with any 18's and Q's were my first option but i dont think there would be a giant diff in the output between the q's and bl's that im looking for
