2 box designs, pick 1.

This will be for 2 JL 10w0 tunes to 34Hz. The box will go under the seat of an '09 F150 firing up powered by a JL1000. Port to the side into the door? or firing out into the footwell?

Not 100% sure. That's why I was hoping to get a little help. I "think" that's the case, but i'm not sure.

i "think" thats the way it works too. cause i know its best to have something for the port to load off of. i would say design #1

Here's a link to my build thread for my 07'. I wasn't happy with the first box I built, but the second one turned out great. I still run it in my truck today. Just in case you might want to pick up a few ideas. We are really limited with what we can do with such little space we have available. Hope this helps.

#1 for me and IMO, I would move the subs all the way to the left.

You may run into loading issues the other way.

Lol headroom? You could run 6 10W0's off that amp @ 18RMS over factory power handling. Unless you already have the equipment laying around you should consider a smaller amp, or a different brand. JL is decent, but highly over priced.

Design 1, but the port shouldn't quite like that. It should be behind the subs, if that makes sense. I would actually put the subs over the top of the port considering that the port will probably be long enough to do that, but I would also tune a little lower.
