2 12" type r's vs 1 12" mach5 spl

the SPL with 3k is gonna be impressive the type Rrrrgh are proven to be able to get loud. THe SPL could take 4 1500's.

ok now this has got me rethinking all over again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif it will now either be 2 12" aq hdc3's or 1 15" mach5 spl, both setups ran off of 3-3.5krms daily, so with that said, still comparing to 2 12"type r's but now which will be loudest among all the previous setups? so 2 12" r's vs 2 12" aq hdc3 vs 1 15" mach5 spl? not putting in 2 12"mach5 spls as total price would be close to **** for me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I had 2 12 Type Rs with a 500.1 doin 148s legal....@ 44hz

It was pretty nice.....if ya blow one its only 100 for a brand new one

Also had the AQs, i say for price...id go with Type Rs

You can buy 4 and have spairs for the price of either

TRUE THAT. i have two also and hit a 144.3 jus last weekend

I had 2 12 Type Rs with a 500.1 doin 148s legal....@ 44hz

It was pretty nice.....if ya blow one its only 100 for a brand new one

Also had the AQs, i say for price...id go with Type Rs

i would but space is limited to max of either 2 12's or a single 15, so it would have to be as much power/cone area/motor force i can stick in either amount, so 2 12 r's just wouldnt be loud enough for me anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif edit: skip, since youve heard both 2 15" r's and 4 12" hdc3s, which one was louder outta the 2 setups? also was either an obvious louder compared to the other or too close to call?

Good point. You can probably get R's there for cheaper anyway. I say stick with them.

Yehh i wasnt suggesting 4 12s, just that you could buy 4 and have 2 for backup if you blow them or what not....or just have extra money

The 4 12 HDCs was a good bit louder than the 2 15Rs, but my box for them wasnt best....it was made to just crush the lows

And how loud are you trying to get?.....anything over 145 legal is pretty darn loud in my book for normal daily

You could get that with pretty much any setup you mentioned
