off a sundown 1500d what will get louder? i know the r's have the cone advantage but im hopeing the spl is elite enough to whipe out a pair of r's... what do you guys think? if you guys think its too much of a disadvantage then how about a 15" spl vs the 2 12" r's? asking this cuz i will either run 1 12" mach5 spl or 1 15" spl for now on my 1500d till i get the money to upgrade and grab another 1500d. now if i get a 12" itll let me be able to grab another when i grab the 2nd 1500d but if i grab a 15" now itll eat all 3k of the 2 1500ds together. so for now off the 1500d, what will get louder for daily? 2 12" type r's or a 12" mach5spl? also compare the r's to the 15" aswell?

you guys taking an educational guess or know for a fact theyll be louder? i mean i know the type r's are sum good 100 dolla wooferes and get frickin loud but they are what they are, 100 dolla woofers. you seriously think a 400 dolla woofa like the mach5spl would crumble to a pair of r's? also what do you guys think of the 15" spl vs the 2 r's?

The price of something isn't everything. While a spl-12 is without a doubt a much better made sub than a R, two R's have double the cone area which gives them a huge advantage. They're also pretty loud subs that surprise people because of how they stack up to beefier motors. I have tested R's against other subs that have bigger motors and the R's were not very far behind on the Termlab.

This is good advice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Now, if you had two SPL-12's.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

+ 6000 watts..... duck and cover. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

really unfair to put 2 12s against 1...

Plus 1500wrms is only c0ck teasing a SPL12. I had 2500+ going to one and if just laughed at me then flipped me off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

50 Max watts = 10000 RMS //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

yeah but you have to have specially designed subs to run of HU power.

HU power is a special frequency that will instantly blow most subs. I heard the new pioneer decks have like 25+ capacitors with 115 volts each.
