1ohm VS 2ohm vs 4ohm

Say you have two 12" dual vc 4ohm Type R's, ok now say you have two Alpine MRP 500's at 2ohm and you have a Crossfire VR1000d at 1ohm.

Now lets say you have a JBL GT1400 at 4ohms which this amp puts out 1200 watts at 4ohm and puts out 1400 at 2ohm not one ohm stable.

Which amp/amps would be the loudest, best sq, best spl, most efficient

Thanks for any help as I am confused as to what difference there would be with impedance. I always thought that 1ohm is the loudest but also the most power hungry, then I look at 4ohm as being more of sq and efficiency.

[edit]

I should also mention the these are the 4th gen 600rms type r's if it matters

If i recall correctly the VRs were all Class AB amps, Im almost sure they were... And the Ohmage thing was a joke, i just kinda hate when people wanna ask what ohm is better... ID say get an amp, then choose the subs that will work with it...

I already have both two 4ohm r's and two mrp 500's and the vr1000d. Right now i have the option of 2 or 4ohm.

Ohm:

The JBL actually can run 1ohm.. as long as you have your gain set properly.. JBL has never advertised 1 ohm, but every Mono, Class D amp they have ever made could be ran at 1 ohm.. but use at your own risk of course. (In your case you would not because you would be pushing well over 1500+ RMS to those subs and blow them in a heart beat..

W:

The 1400.1 puts out 1500+ RMS @ 2ohm not 1400...

Lastly if you where to consider the JBL or another amp like it, I would recommend an amp like that, in case and you know you will upgrade your subs later you will already have the necessary power waiting for you..

Wire each sub coil in Series then wire the two subs together in parallel

So you will have 4+4=8 x2 wired in parallel =4ohm for 1200 W

I've got a VR2000d and I can assure you that it is class d...

OP seems like you will probably be splitting hairs.. not likley going to be an audible difference no matter what amp you use..

Really, Wouldn't 1200 watts be split to 600 watts to each sub? I thought that the jbl amp at 1200 4ohm would have beter sq than the vr1000 at 1ohm? There has to be a diffrence with ohm specs, there just has to be

PS brain fart and Idkw.... Can I even run them down to 1ohm? lol yea I know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Can my stock 100a alternator take the jbl at 4ohms? Would I need 0awg, and the big 3? I like it simple and eff as well, thats why I'm trying to get some help. It seems as if it's like pulling teeth around here for someone to help a guy w/ a simple question though. : )
