1994 Corvette First Build

I'm starting to make make the wires for the Big 3 upgrade while the box cures. Using Knu Konceptz wire, wrapped with tech flex.

The Big 3 upgrade... This consists of adding heavy gauge wire (I used 1/0) from the battery positive to alternator output, battery negative to chassis ground, and chassis ground to engine ground). You can pick just about anywhere you want to ground the negative leads. I just used the spots easiest to access for me. Also I added the wire to the existing factory wiring, I did not replace them. Here is the battery positive to alternator output.

Battery negative to chassis ground. This is an existing ground next to the battery (removed for access).

Chassis ground to engine ground (I used the passenger side of the car for this, the other 2 are on the drivers side).

Here is an unused bolt hole that I used for the engine ground.

Need to add some heat shrink to the negative terminal....

That's why the title said "Next come the fuses..." //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Who does a fuse from the alternator to battery? There should be a fuse just off of the battery going back to the other batteries or the amp.
I'm putting a fuse from the alt to battery and battery to amp.

I'm redoing the heat shrink on the wires and changing the zip ties to black, don't like how it looks, I'm going for a cleaner look, have to wait on partsexpress now for that.

Very nice install. That box is going to look killer when it's done.
Any pics before you tore the car down? That's my favorite body style for a Vette.
Don't think I have any from before the install.
