bro i budget fine lol. i live fine, but not as good as id like.
Maybe there, not here man.

Like I said though, it doesn't matter, I'm in school, everything is taken care of for me.

I got super lucky where im working and how much im making, but yes its tough seeing a lot a friends struggle to find decent jobs. Then again some of those friends dont deserve decent jobs and dont understand you cant get hammered the night before and still function the next day at work.

yeah just cause ur making money doesnt make it a real job lol. i mean would you consider mcdonalds a real job? of course not its a joke.. im talking about a big boy, grown up, adult making a decent amount of money per year job, i live on my own i make almost 80k/year(cost of living is low in pittsburgh also) and its tough.. i dont know how you could live a decent life off 10-11$/hr jobs
I make $10 an hour now and its hard, but I still live a decent life. I just work way more than the average 22 year old not counting college.

i didnt goto college, i got buddies who are lazy as **** but went to good colleges, penn state, wvu, w&j(local college but its almost ivy league) and they get out making absolute **** for money so i think i made a right choice.. i might hafta work a lot harder for my money but i have a better job than them with their degrees plus they are too lazy to take advantage of what their parents paid for...that bein their education lol.

thats gotta be tough, with kids especially. i dont have kids. im single now so its a little easier, i had a fiance that lived with me up until x-mas this year lol... she was a money mooch so she had to go plus she was lazy

Join the military, but dont be a dirt bag or they will send you home quick.. To many kids coming in these days to get away from mom and dads rules, the military has more rules. You might be able to tell your folks where to stick it but try it in the service.. Going home with a dishonorable discharge, now try to find a real job.. When I joined it was right after 9/11, we had a purpose. You can tell how the newcomers mentality has changed over the past few years.

If you think it would be something you would want to do I'll answer any questions for you though.

I'm 29 back at home after a few years of being out. It didn't help that I broke my back in 2009 and again in 2010 requiring surgery. Also broke my neck which almost required surgery, luckily it didn't. I needed all the help I could get physically due to the medical brace I had to wear for almost 3 months. Unfortunately I was laid off at the beginning of the year. Do I hate it? To an extent yes, but my folks have helped me a lot. Would I rather be back out, of course. But being here right now has helped me in being able to keep paying bills for the past 6 months and not falling behind.

At this point im not planning on college easier which would help me by not having a school loan. Theres no college for what Im doing and most people on here couldnt understand what I was doing if I tried to explain.

my buddy went to marines, got discharged cause he would get drunk and start bar fights. i believe he was just discharged but it could be dis-honorable he still had hard time finding a job after tho.

They pay a lot of money to train you,, now with the budget if you **** them your fucked.

The salery thing also has a lot to do where you live.. Back home a close friend( the only one I still talk to ) makes it with a average salery, 80K mortage on a nice home.. Here a average salery doesnt cut it. A house to his equivelant is upwards of 180K

property values are goin way up around here because they built a bunch of new casinos, and all kinds of stuff around my area so everyone wants a ton for property now, houses that were 150k are now 300k+

Very true, but did not expect to be here this long. Being let go did not help at all. And I see where you are coming from about the hard working when other people do not. Some places it helps a lot, trust me I know. I was an electronics tech but also did a lot of other hard work that consisted of metal fab and other stuff that other people were just too **** lazy to do.

i'm planning to stay with my parents until i get BA and a good job and move to NYC or stay with my parent and take over mortgage payments. But at one point i will move to NYC.(planning on buying $1-$2mill condo, and trust me i will) Otherwise, why spend extra $1000+ for rent(I live in NJ, and rent is expensive here) LIVING in the same city. it's f-ing stupid, yet many people do it. And why should i bust my *** off working to pay rent and live in poverty and denying myself in what i want.

The problem in this are is its a military town. 7 bases overall.. To most mortage companys military equals monthly income(not so much the case now). They where giving stupid ballon loans to to many service members.. The market crashed and all the houses they planned to flip pretty much flopped. So now the values are high because everybody owes so much. I tried to tell a lot a people but when they got offered all these intrest only loans they jumped on them.
