Anyone at, or above 18 years old, living at home still. Whats your relationship with your parents like? Or even the guys that no longer live at home but were there at this age.

Reason I ask is i find myself more and more aggitated with them each day. Idk if its some kind of maturity thing or what.

I would get an apartment but between not trusting the parking lot where my system is, and the amount of tools I have I think it would be better to just save up for a mortgage.

I feel ya. It's impossible in this economy to separate from the family at any young age really.
Bullshit. I moved out when I was 17 right after I graduated high school. I moved in with my pregnant girlfriend. I work my ass off going to school and college, but its not impossible. Now Im 22, married, 2 kids, have my associates degree, will have my bachelors in 2 semesters, and I support our family just fine without killing myself. People will make excuses all day long, but in the end it comes down to how lazy you are and your priorities.

Kudos to you but that was also 5 years ago. Did you move into an apartment or house?

I moved out right when I graduated HS. After 6 months I moved right back in for another 1.5 years. I got along pretty decently with my parents, except my dad would do things to get on my nerves every once in awhile. I grew really tired of them and my hometown after that 1.5 years, so I moved a few states away.

I miss my parents frequently, but when I go home for a week or two, I soon remember why I left. A lot of people are moving back in with their parents, especially in this economy. I like having my own place for the privacy and freedom to have friends over whenever I want. Except I am in some shoebox apartment that the managers are now charging me out the *** for. Plus I miss having a garage and backyard and having people constantly walking by my place. It sux because I can't work on my car in privacy or work on my guns outside for fear of people seeing my **** and stealing it.

Cliff's: It's normal to live with and get tired of your parents; apartments ****.

An apartment. The whole thing started because my dad came home drunk and he decided he wanted to be an asshole. He told me to move out in his drunken rage and I signed my lease the next day. I moved into a 1400sqft apartment with my own garage. At the time I worked for Circuit City doing home deliveries and home theater installs. I made enough to pay for an $700 apartment on my own.

I go to look at a house tomorrow. 1600 sq ft on the first floor with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, unfinished basement, 2 stall garage, and a fenced in back yard. At 22 thats not half bad. Just bust your ass and good things will come.

You were lucky to get a job. I can't get a job anywhere (I'm in school so don't need one, in my situation, but still). Remember what a dump this economy has been in the past 5 years.

I understand and am sorry to hear that. On the other hand my parents are allowing me to stay at home for a little bit seeing how my sister is 25 and still living here(me and her are COMPLETE opposites).

Like I said though, I could afford an apartment easily no questions asked, But the no garage (or combined garage with my neighbors) would stress me out.
