18" woofer build!! Which 18??

i would go with the dc xl's though if there not that much more exspensive. that means you can always bump ur amps up and not have to replace the subs too to get louder ya know?

That was my initial plan until I got the "Hell NO you are not getting more amps till I get *****" from the wifie lol

I am hoping that with this set up I will break the 150 db threshold I know the equipment I have it is more than possible its just going to come down to box design, and overall setup.

I went ahead and spent another $500 on deadening since I have not deadened the roof of my suv yet and the back doors need another layer. Also I picked up another PPI phantom 900.4 that I am going to put on 2 sundown neo pro 10's and 2 neo pro 8's that I have laying around, I just have to figure out where the hell I am going to put them. My buddy has an audio shop here in west Texas that is closing down, he was a dealer for ppi so He made me a helluva deal on 2 sets of the PPI power class components 3 ways (pc3.65c) both sets and the 900.4 for $400.00 (can't beat that).

So my set up will be"

2 ppi bk 1800d's

2 SQ HDC3 18's Copper d2 coils

2 PPi Phantom 900.4's

2 neo pro 10's

2 neo pro 8's

2 sets of PPI 3.56c's

All powered by 320 amp alt 1 yellowtop up front and 2 xs2500's in the back.

And a crap load of 00 ofc cable

Outta sound pretty good I hope.

Also I picked up another PPI phantom 900.4 that I am going to put on 2 sundown neo pro 10's and 2 neo pro 8's that I have laying around, I just have to figure out where the hell I am going to put them. dude 500$ on deadning??? do you own a semi? i get 80sq ft of deadner for 180$ through sonic electronics. its nvx so blah blah blah its not the best but price for sq foot it cant be beat.

but btw ur build sounds bad *** man. god luck with it

I say 500$ it was like 456$ after shipping for the b Quite 66mil ultimate 150 ft2 and the insulation crap for the head liner (gets hot here in west Texas) and I also got a couple cans of the spray on stuff)

Prolly went overkill on the deadener but I really want this to be my best build yet and I have done many builds that I end up being unhappy with so I am taking my time and going overkill on everything.

I started machining my distribution blocks this afternoon and my dual 1 ot to ot adapters going into the sub amps. I love having access to a machine shop if I dont have a part I just make it.

rock on man. sounds like your not skimping out which is a big deal so good job on that. n i get the heat man i live in arizona so i know EXACTLY what your talking about. i got a black car and even though my seats are cream colored leather the black paint makes my car 160 degrees in the summer. n if i forget to crack my windows before i park it for a while i cant even get in it for 5 mins. lame *** sun
