Thanks.LOL, my BTLs never moved like that... sick bro

LOL, I should, that would be a good comparison between my old R's and my new BTL.need one of the bank doors again
Thanks, but I fcked up, I should have put it on the side triangle window so when the window flex's it would look just like the dust cap of the BTL when its pounding.fvck, that wangs, i like the Fi sticker on the back.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Well, the other subs I've had in this vehicle are a couple of MTX 9500 12's in 4.5cubes ported @ 38hz, JLW6v2 12's sealed and Type R 12's in 5cubes ported @34hz. I may write up a lil review, but the main comparision will be made on the type R's vs the BTL. The comparision will be a video review comparing the amount of flex and vibration on a banks front glass doors where my friend works, I'll park in the same spot and use the same song that I did when I made the video for the R's.Nice!
Are you going to give a review of the BTL vs. other subs you've had in that car?
Too bad you don't live anywhere near Seattle...I'd like to hear your BTL 18 and you and take a listen to my MT 18 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
LOL, it's a very tingly feeling, If you relax your jaw your teeth chatter it's pretty cool. I also like the feeling in the back of your throat when your trying to swallow your spit and it's hard to do. Normal breathing is also made much harder, when you breath through your nose you can see the side of your nose flaping back and forth, it tickles. I've never been exposed to any 148db on up vehicles so all of these feelings are very new to me.I don't even like sitting in my car with a BL on 1200 watts when it's not even turned up all the way, I can't imagine how that feels.
Dude that would a very sweet review -- as close to the same scenario as you can get //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif -- same car, same power, diff. subs...Well, the other subs I've had in this vehicle are a couple of MTX 9500 12's in 4.5cubes ported @ 38hz, JLW6v2 12's sealed and Type R 12's in 5cubes ported @34hz. Ya I'd like to hear your MT18 too.

Well it's only been installed for a few days and I'm allready getting used to the pressure of it, but everyonce in a while a song will generate a tone that will hurt my ears and at that point I turn it down. I don't see myself getting to the point where that certain tone won't hurt so that I will not get used to.Dude that would a very sweet review -- as close to the same scenario as you can get //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif -- same car, same power, diff. subs...
Hmm regarding the 148db thing I was going to make my own thread about it but I seem to get used to it very quickly and want more already...I was wondering if you got used to it yet?
Does your CD skip at all? If not what model/brand do you have? Mine skips badly and I'm certain it's the CD as the radio still works fine at the higher SPL levels...Well it's only been installed for a few days and I'm allready getting used to the pressure of it, but everyonce in a while a song will generate a tone that will hurt my ears and at that point I turn it down. I'll allways be stiving for more bass since I'm a pretty big bass head, but on the other hand if I had (6) of these 18's pounding with a proper install I'd probably say thats enough bass and be satisfied there.
As of now I'm stoked and impressed with just having a single 18" BTL with the ability of still using my back seats and being able to see out of my rear window.
My future plans are to experiment with it in another box design and to build up my front stage.
LOL, ya it skips on things like 30hz to 50hz sweeps, but does ok on all music, I put a lil dynamate on the bottom of it, lol probably didn't help much, but was worth a try. It's a Premier 680.Does your CD skip at all? If not what model/brand do you have? Mine skips badly and I'm certain it's the CD as the radio still works fine at the higher SPL levels...
You've probably tried most/all of these but I've tried:
sub up/port back
sub back/port up
sub back/port back
To the ear and my meter sub back is louder by consistently 1 db...
I've tried the MT 18 in a 3, 7.5 and now 6 cube box...
I have a Toyota Rav4. I was going to run to Costco in a few here so let me take some pics...nothing special...I like my stuff to look stock from the outside...LOL, ya it skips on things like 30hz to 50hz sweeps, but does ok on all music, I put a lil dynamate on the bottom of it, lol probably didn't help much, but was worth a try. Do you have a blazer also?
Ya sub back port back seems to be a tad louder to the ear, but I hate the vibration noise I hear from the rear window/inside panel when I do that. So sub forward port forward is what I run and it prevents any intereor vibration noise and helps alot with vibrations from the outside. The next box I do I want to try sub up port to the back or passenger side. I know it's not important, but out of which sub/port position did the bass sound cleaner and louder when standing in front of your vehicle about 10 ft?
