1600 Watts TOO Much?

Not sure whether this thread belongs in the Amp. section or the Sub section since it involves both but i'll put it here and see where it goes...

I'd like to give two xtant x1244's that will be hooked in parallel down to 1 Ohm 1600 watts rms... they are each rated for 500watts rms from the factory making the two of them require 1000 watts @ 1 ohm... will 1600 watts @ 1 ohm be too much for them in a sealed box tuned for SQ? I've heard accounts of people giving them 1400 and them sounding right nice.
