I cut out the rear deck, but left the support beam. I had to build the box inside the trunk seeing how i fiberglassed the wheel well. (remember to lay aluminum foil down first so it can be removed later on). Here was somewhat of the final before I ripped it out. Cosmetically, it was far from beautiful.

i have a 01 grand am and have installed a btl 15, icon 15, dd9515, arsenal 15, and i always had to build the box in the trunk =( but its worth it.
