I am running 600 watts rms (@ 2 ohms) to a 12'' apline Type R (4ohms) in a custom ported box. Will be hooking up the sub at 2 ohms.
***NOTE: the battery is located in the trunk of my car (and yes it is all stock) ****
1. Connect + to - on both coils in the back of the speaker for 2 ohms (series or parralel I forget)
2. Run 18 awg speaker wire from + of one coil and - from other coil to amp
3. Sub is now hooked to amp, check!
4. Run 8 awg wire from + battery terminal to amp with a 60amp fuse a few inches from battery
5. Run 8 awg wire from - battery terminal to amp
6. Amp now has power, check!
7. Tap into BOTH rear 6x9 speaker and connect low-high converter to BOTH rear 6x9's
8. connect rca from low-high converter to amp
9. Dont know what this is for, Check!
10. Run 18awg wire from hole labeled remote on amp to something in the fuse box
11. Splice in a 3 amp fuse on the remote wire?
12. Amp knows when to turn on, Check!
13. Turn car on and blow out eardrums......CHECK!
Thank You for reading!
