Too ghetto for terminal cup

Okay so I recently built my box and dont feel like ordering a terminal cup and have to wait for shipping:*******:, and dont feel like drilling a hole in the box.

Would it be to ghetto to have the speaker wire run out through the port on the box? Or would I just be a oober mad genius

P.S. Anyone know where I could pick a terminal cup up from a local store, like bestbuy or something?

I never use terminal cups. I drill a hole and run my wire thru it. Makes sure you seal it tho. I've never bought any but radio shack may have some, if they are still in business, i dont know.

they dont allow for the best connection.... drill holes or use bolts(drill holes) also they make the box weaker iirc

Hmmm, I never thought about using bolts but that is a good idea. What types of bolts are you guys using (how thick/long)? I like that idea much more than having to cut a hole in my precious box

depends on how much power you're running. 3/8" is good, 1-1.5" long.

3/8 will be plenty, you can pick a couple up from the hardware store for a couple a bucks, or even walmart. dont forget washers and nuts.

Go to homedepot get some all thread it's A threaded piece of metal with no bolt heads on it drill 2 holes in ur box and stick the rod thru the holes secure with nuts and boom terminals

Uhm, how would you lock the wire onto the screw if you cant use nuts?
