12" Sub Suggestions

I have a Memphis 16-PRD1000.1 (1000WRMS @ 1 ohm) I had planned to buy a 12" IDMax, though after seeing the price has went up to $500... I doubt I will get one. I want to try to keep the price around $350ish.

This will be going in the trunk of my car in a 1-1.3ft^3 sealed box. I have a Memphis 16-PRD1000.1 (1000WRMS @ 1 ohm).

Hmmmmm..... I might go with the Kicker CVX 12"

Even though it doesn't sound the best, it's pretty loud. (But I've never heard them in sealed boxes, so it might sound a little better)

And it's RMS wattage is 750, but you should be fine running it at 1000.

Kicker... no, mostly going for SQ here lol.

I take it the Diamond will probably have less output than the IDMax? As far as SQ they are pretty close?

with that enclosure and that power, and then that budget.. an SSA ICON 12 DVC2 might be right up your alley my friend.

There was an article around here somewhere that compared the idmax, phoniex gold rsd, jl w6 and a couple other subs and the pg rsd sub was almost as good as the idmax and you can get em for $109 shipped from http://www.onlinecarstereo.com and they are an authorized retailer. I'm goin with two of them soon. I'll see if I can't find that article.

The Soundsplinter Rl-p seems to look like a good sub on paper, how is the SQ on it? Also would 1000WRMS be enough in that small of a box to get the full potential out of it?

Or I guess I could try to stick to my orginal plan and buy two more Image Dynamics ID8's (for a total of 4), put them all in a 1.6-1.8ft^3 box and run them at 1 ohm @ 1000WRMS? The problem is that would take up most of my trunk space. Plus I'm not sure how 4 8" ID8's would be vs one decent 12" sub.
