12" Sub Personal Goal

Hey guys I think Ive decided to see how far a 12 can go... I figured ya I could get loud buy doing 2 15's or something along those lines but thats easy and I know I will never be the loudest so whats the point... However I wanna see how loud you can get with a single 12 or maybe 2 Im not sure yet... I wont be changing systems every week since I dont have money sitting around but if Im gunna be doing this for a hobby, and now work (maybe I can get them to back some cost for demos for the shop) I might as well have something to shoot for... What do you guys think, dumb idea? Also does anyone know what the record for a single or dual 12s is currently?

depending on the sub and box you can do a lot with a single 12, mine was doing 143.x at 40hz on around 900-1000 watts, and still sounded pretty good daily.

Thats another thing... this will be a daily setup and I will not waste money on something that just makes noise and cant listen to everyday

i would say talk to resko1 or splaudio and see what they could build you for a 12, youll just have to find a good motor to run and let them work their magic on it.

I probably will have something built next time but for now we will see what the DD can do... gotta worry about finding a place to live sense the GF is on my *** a little lol

Im gunna see what to shoot for and see if its even a reachable goal on a poor guys budget... and I may be selling the truck so a new vehicle may be in order

not seeing the point here. If you want loud out of a single 12 it pretty much has to be a effecient but bandwidth limited fart box. If you want loud and daily and wide bandwith, then cone area is king....

Yeah, in my TB. I'd build a bigger box if I were you though.
