I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler and very limited space. I like to drive w the top down and no doors so security is a concern for me. I have a very small locking trunk compartment that I would like to add a sub. I went to my local stereo shop to see what sub boxes fit. The only one that fit is a 8 inch sub box. The 10 inch sub box was a little big for my small trunk (by less than a inch!). My buddy has an old 10 inch bass tube, I dont know what brand it is but it fits perfect. I have already bought a 8 inch JL audio sub. Sould I take it back get a 10 inch sub and install it in the tube or just keep my 8 inch sub and buy a regular box for it??

by the way the rear trunk compartment is W 27 H 12 1/2 D 9 1/2 -12 1/2 (the rear is angled) The problem that I have is that the height of most sub boxes is over 12 1/2 inches
