10" sub with a lot of output and small to medium ported box?

Im currently running a 12" TC sounds LMS-R

I love the sub but I dont like the way it sounds in a small sealed box. I tried a 1.5 ported box but it just wasn't the same as the 2.0 cube box I have it in.

I have been looking for a 10" sub that will do well in a ported box around 1.25 cubes and will handle roughly 1000-1200 rms daily.

Im looking at a Fi SSD, Audioque HDC3, etc

My main goals are sound quality, small ported box with a lot of output, and the price to be under $300

If you want SQL the HDC3 probably isn't your best choice, from what I've heard they aren't very SQ oriented whatsoever. SSD and the Q would both work well, Q if you plan on tuning lower. Also check out the SSA Icon, and the DC level 3/4

I think the 10" SSA XCON would pretty much fit the criteria you need filled. The only thing, it's $370, but you may be able to do a WTB thread and find a used one for a lot cheaper. They don't have the specs for the ICON listed yet, but its about $100 cheaper, and I think it might fit your requirements to, but not %100 sure

Icon may be a better choice because it's RMS is 1000 whereas the Xcon is almost double that. Off 1000w he'll get more out of the icon

IIRC the Icon is currently out of stock, you'd have to ask denim about them

Yeah, they are rolling the new ones out soon, but I had Mobile Enclosures design an enclosure for me and needed the specs of the new ICON, and got them from Denim, but I unfortunately deleted the email.

Im really eyeing the Fi SSD cuz of its low price. I was thinking maybe the SSD with the cooling option?
