1 type x or 2 type r

should i go with one 1 12" type x in a ported box or 2 12" type r's in a ported box? i have a small trunk thats dynomatted.

the two type r's will be louder (by a lot), the type X will have better SQ.

no not my only choice i've been lookin all around i used to have 2 l7's and loved them just lookin for somethink new. i want about 70 SPL and 30 SQ so if that helps. i mainly listen to rap and rock.

the two type r's will be louder (by a lot), the type X will have better SQ. actually i was gona say that if depending on your trunk size, you may wanna consider doing 1 TYPEX in a crazy good box, but 2 12"s i think will definitly be better choice for output. but dont diss the X , if it were me i would drop it in a 2.5 cu box tuned to 28Hz with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif 2000W. or the 2 12" R'z with 1500W-2000W.but in the trunk with 2 12"s in a tight trunk, output will suffer some, ive done an install with both setups and WITH MY EXPERIENCE, some how the 1 12" had potential to be almost as loud....almost , so it just depends and can sound great, if done right...piece"

I just cant wait till I get done with my ported box for my Type R 12's. I just got done drawing the demensions on the wood out in my garage. The scroll saw is at the lake. D*mnit, Ill have to get it tomorrow so I can begin.

Once I get all of this done, I am gonna put it head to head with my friends 12" X in a ported box in his Firebird Formula...

The Type X sounds great so I say if you have limited space, a 1 Type X in a ported box. However since you want 70/30 in favor of SPL, then I vote for an RE SX

I will keep ya updated. I am tuning my box to 32 hrtz so that oughta be low enough. I dont know if I will be louder if he gets a 1000+ watt amp, but since he is only running a 600 watt Alpine amp, Ill be sure to beat him.
