1 or 2 Type R's

I have decided on either 1 12 or 2 12 type r's. If i get 2 will a 300 watts to each sub be enough? And also will 1 type r 12 be enough either..I just want some nice bass, its in a trunk of a grand prix...?

Get two. And you're going to want to send atleast 600 rms to each sub.

ok well im not lookin to blow my windows out or anything..hah..this is my first system and im tryin to understand the powering as for as amps go. So i need to k now do i wannt 600 watts @ 2 ohms or 1 ohm...Im confused on the ohm thing..whats teh difference

I found a lanzar amp that will do 650 watts rms @ 2 ohms to 2 channels...This would work correct?

no forget the dual channel amps, if you're getting 2 of the dual 4 type Rs you will need a mono amp that will do 1200-1400 watts RMS at 1 ohm. make sure it's a 1 ohm stable amp. If you are getting 2 of the dual 2 type Rs you need an amp that will do 1200-1400 watts RMS at 2 ohms. If you are just getting one dual 4 get an amp that will do 600-700 RMS at 2 ohms, and the dual 2 you need 600-700 RMS at 1 ohm.

stick with 1 type R unless you have 2k. a good cheap amp is the hifonics bxi 1206d. if you are smart you can get one for 230.

I would agree. 1 type R with enough power will pound nicely. 600 rms.

I'd get 2 Type-R's, 1 Type-R to me isnt enough, even with 1,100 watts RMS tops going to it, with my car Dynamat'd, its still not enough for me.
