Sorry kids, 1/0 aluminum varies from 205 down to 150 amps (depending on the specific type of insulation). Thats from the National Electrical Code book, not some cheesy web site selling 2000W/ch amps that weigh 8 pounds. Fake watts and fake horsepower are all the rage nowadays. A horsepower used to mean 746 watts, now I have a 5.75HP shopvac running on a 15A circuit???? Bullshit. I guess you need to divide by three to get a real number nowadays. My 250 WPC amp (home) weighs 96 lbs. It has a REAL power supply and REAL caps and puts out a REAL 250/channel! You'd have to upgrade the suspension on your rat cars to hold up amps that actually put out what they claim. Real amps don't need external caps, that's supposed to be part of the designed power supply. Competition amps, LOL!
