why ya messing with them anyways? you have the prs 80 right? i defeated my xover on my amp and never touched them again..

I was changing them on the 80 prs, not the amp. Kinda bullsh*t how a "quality" korean amp cant handle a simple high pass change on the head unit while a cheap chinese amp survives it all day long

I have done it before on the bench playing around with a cheap

amp, I was under the impression it's then in a mono signal or is it stereo? My mids bass are playing pretty low so prob wouldn't matter

what the ****? thats some trash. lol

i do that all the time. for example when im play moderate volume on a very well recorded track thats not stupd bass heavy i cross the mids around 63 on bottom and 2500 on top and tweeters at 3.15. when i want to play its stupid loud i bring the xover up to 100 up to 3.15k and 4k for hte tweeters on the fly might be moderate or loud. and i do it to protect the drivers and it sound better at high volumes. these mids lack NO MIDRANGE. i have to cut the midrange a tad. lol

what amps have you tried? what power do you need? you have a 4 way right? sub midbass midrange and tweeters ?

Jeff, im debating between 3 options. 4 18s to replace my hdc4 18s. Team fi's, cf xsv4's, and the team ascendants that you run. What made you pick yours and do you have any complaints or even small things you dont like about them? Thanks

no complaints at all on my end. Well they are way more smooth than I was used to then my HDCs. A lot lower distortion in the sound so it might not be perceived as painful but its definitely a lot louder and waaay cleaner sounding. Not really a con, just something you might need to get used to SQ wise. Havent gotten the coils anywhere close to warm yet untill i do a lithium swap and go hard on them.

You can run either of those subs, they are all built by FI literally the same class of subs you wont notice much difference at all. You'll get them made and shipped out a lot faster than SSA though lol. My buddy is waiting on his order for 3 months and still no evil 15s which are basically the same as the crossfire xv4s as stated by dan from FI just different bottom plates.

Got quote for all 3 and tickets are all about the same and yeah team mate just got the fi's and they look identical to the cf's and i just want to run something different from him and it took 2.5 months for fi to build his 4 which i thought was retarded, almost 3k in subs and it takes that long to build and bolt a top assembly? Lol just trying get as much info as i can on all 3, will order right after slam because im hoping to see and hear all 3 there.

Were directs an option? Figured they would be standard. But yeah lol they all look alike, magnets almost identical, slightly different top plates, all pe coils, will be a step up for me on any of them and i havent even played the hdc4s yet lol

I bought mines locally, guy bought them and never did a build for them so never used never powered. I got them for dirt cheap, no build or wait time lol. Not sure about the options but the push terminals are tiny... get direct leads if possible. Mines is an older version i think.
