I would say get a high output alt. I found mine on ebay for 160$ Check it out. As far as wanting a setup that sets off car alarms, its not all what its cracked up to be. SQ over SPL anyday.

How much do you plan on spending? I like MB Quart qsd216 or pce 216 ive ran both up front in my ranger. I ran the pce's w/75/rms sounded VERY GOOD and the qsd's w/150rms sounds even better!

I second that! 8053 is the best deck known to man. Better sound than the F-1 status Alpine. 16v is all I have to say.

I used to have 1 500/1 with 1 10w7 in jl's HO box in my truck(99rangerxcab)It was pretty loud and hit hard without a cap or alt the lights did dim though. I never used the PG amp so I can't comment on it.

I would say hu, speakers, amps and speaker placement. Before I had the Eclipse8053 I would have said speakers but there are just so many opitions with this hu. I dont think Ive looked at the road since I got it.

What? What's up Memphismann88 with the 8 rating? No I wont get much more out of my subs and even if I did I don't want it. Every installer who has heard it said I've got over 155db that's plenty of bass, you cant even sit in there with it cranking. It hurts!

I havent heard the focals and I hope I never do. I do my best not to support anything from france. Thats besides the point, I can't imagine anything sounding better than the qsd 216. I have them in my front doors with only 75w (for now)and they sound awsome. The pce's also sound great!

I bought the mb quart QSD's on ebay and the guy diden't pack the screw bag correctly. The screws got on top of the tweeters and trashed them.So if any body has any qtd's they want to sell hit me up.
