Focal Utopia 165W vs MB Quart QSD216

Hi,

Can you guys please give me your opinion on which component speaker set is better between the Focal Utopia 165W and the MB Quart QSD 216?

I plan on running an Alpine 7998 deck and the speakers will be powered with a Precision Power PPI PC6600 (600W 6-channel amp... all the channels will obviously not be used).

I use to have MB Quart Discus series comps and now Focal 165V comps. Personally i think the Focal sound better for me. They are really amazing, the sound is so clear the discuss speaker. They are not harsh like the MB Quart.

I love the mids, i lowered my amp to 70hz and it gives good bass. You have to hear the 165w and the MBQSD 216 first and hear it your self which you like best.

I havent heard the focals and I hope I never do. I do my best not to support anything from france. Thats besides the point, I can't imagine anything sounding better than the qsd 216. I have them in my front doors with only 75w (for now)and they sound awsome. The pce's also sound great!

ok well I have not listened to them head to head but I have heard both and for some reason the rool off of the Focals seem a little better to my ears, the MB Quarts seemed a little harsh to me, but then again its my ears and my preferences

I dont support them the US saved them twice and whats the thanks france gives the US? No support! So I show them the same. I now have 150w to the QSD216 and wow! They are very honest and loud. I dont want speakers that make crapy harsh music sound good, I want to hear what was recorded. If thats crap then I want to hear crap.
