Subwoofer is very quiet

Hello guys, I just installed a brand new sundown sml-12 with a Recoil Red600.1 amp from Amazon. I turned the sub on and it sounds very quiet compared to my brothers smaller 300w active subwoofer. The sub is in its proper box so I don’t know what the problem is. Can yall give me ideas on what to check?

Yes I raised it up all the way and messed around with it and it still sounds muffled and quiet

No I have an aftermarket stereo and I turned on subwoofer from the stereo

I have a 08 Silverado. The box and sub are under the rear seat in the passenger side. The sub is facing upwards

Looks like a D2 or D4, did you wire the subs down to 1 Ohm ?

It’s a d4 and I wired it down to 2 ohm

Yeah but I can’t wire a single d4 sub down to 1 ohm. If I had 2 subs it would work

Exactly what’s happening. It sounds very muffled like if it was underwater. My brother has a smaller 300w subwoofer and that one sounds louder and clearer

What's the specs on the enclosure? Cubic feet, and sealed or ported ?
