Opinions on Best 12" 1000rms subwoofer for SQ>SPL ~$300 range

I have two 12's. I'm not too impressed. I don't know. It's loud, but I felt my single 15" was louder, however didn't sound as clean as I'd like.
Thinking of switching to a single 12" at 1000rms instead of two 12s at 500rms.

First off, what is everyone's thoughts? I listen to primarily electronic. Currently in 4.5cuft at 33hz. Should I shoot for a higher tuner? It sounds good, but I feel I'm lacking some loudness to it. I want a good balance of SQ and SPL, with a focus on the SQ.

Looking at:
Sundown SA-Series v.2
Skar Audio DDX-12
Resilient Sounds Gold 12 (I've heard good things in regard to SQ)
So many options. I'm also seeing Incriminator and Ground Zero.

What subs are they and what are the box specifications? An incorrect box can kill performance.

Dual Kicker Comps. Box is fine. I did a lot of research. Matched the recommended enclosure. 4.5 cubic feet at 33hz. Unless you know otherwise and suggest something else.

Got it. I have not reallly heard those Kickers but some I have heard and really liked are the Alpine TypeR. A good blend of SQ and low end power. Smaller box than the Kickers as well.

Works in as small of a box as .7 cubic feet sealed.
Also had mine in a 1.75 cubic foot box ported to 36. ****** slammed. Only thing was it didn't hit lows like at all but only cause the box was tuned so high. Had it on a JP8 amp but I never had full voltage and dont have a high output alternator so it could've been muuuch louder.

If you're going sealed Nick (owner of SI) recommends.7-1.0 cubic feet, most people to prefer the box size to be on the smaller side from what I've seen, mine sounded pretty good on 1.0 cubic feet in a sealed box. If ported, go 1.8 cubes tuned to 30hz. This sub has about 2 inches of linear throw so you'll need a decent amount of port area as well.

I don't have mine anymore, I actually upgraded to their 18 inch HT-18 and I'm really liking it. Only $200 and 2 inches of linear travel. Plan on getting a second one after I'm able to upgrade my electrical system more

plus 2 lol ive got their 15 ported 4cu ft 22hz, sounds great, eats lows, efficient as well
