I already have 4 AWG wire coming from my battery into the car now the thing that splits up the power and then I run another one I have to see how big that is I'm very limited on space.

Getting the jp95 even though I don't have the room for it in the long run might save me room.

And the company you mentioned to buy their kit they make fantastic product I use their speaker wire their speaker wire is fabulous.

I have 14 gauge speaker wire in my car is that going to be sufficient for everything?
14awg speaker wire is fine, I think most of my truck is actually 16awg and I run quite a bit of power.

Distribution blocks come in so many shapes and sizes. It should not be hard to find a compact version.

4awg is only good for 150amps of current which will starve the amps if you run them hard on just the 1 run. But adding another run easily remedies that. Knuconepts rates it's kollosus 8awg at 60amp so you could like just run a new 8awg kit to the 4 channel if you want to maximize budget.

You know the two amp setup even though it saves space sounds more complicated more demanding I think I'm going to get the j95 and just make it fit somewhere it would be a lot simpler because I believe it takes 4 AWG wire which I already have.

You are correct a amp with DSP built-in would just solve everything but they're so expensive you're looking at basically about $1,200 from what I can see for a decent one.

Where if I get the j95 that's 400 if I get the audio concepts 601 or 608 I believe that's 400 on eBay that's $800 I still got another $400 to buy a subwoofer you see I can get it all done for just the cost of the amp with built-in DSP although it does save space but it ends up costing more money.

Okay I guess this is the million-dollar question I've decided I'm going with two speakers on the front door two tweeters up front no speakers in the rear except for a sub.

Getting a amp with DSP is just too much money so given that here's my question. I want to run the front speakers and tweeter active I do not want to use a crossover I want to use a crossover that is built into the DSP or in the software and fine tune it.

Given that do I need or will a four channel amp suffice? Or do I still need a 5-channel amp?.

This is what I really need to know to move forward and start purchasing stuff I already sold my jbls they're gone the amp I was able to return it was still under a 30-day trial period so got rid of everything starting from scratch except for the head unit.

Spare tire well is usually a pretty good choice

You know what I've only had my car for 6 months I've never even looked in the spare tire well I'm going to have to look into that you're basically saying I could stick an amp down inside there I could stick the sub amp down inside there you know what tomorrow I'm going to have to take a look at that lift up the carpet and see what's in there how much space never even thought of that thank you.

After searching every inch of my car and trying to figure out where I could put that jp95 I basically have no room it will not fit under my feet my spare tire is underneath the car I don't have any place to put that big of an amp I have to rule that amp out although I really like that amp I just don't have room for it it's 18 in Long plus the wires that are going to come out of both ends it's going to be over 2 ft long one of the drawbacks to having a tiny little Fiat.

Hey guys ended up finding an amp 5 channel now I'm looking for an 8-in sub can somebody recommend a good brand should I buy one that's already built in the enclosure or should I buy a separate enclosure and then put a sub in it?

How much room you want to give up? If you can give up 1 cubic foot do either a single sundown sa8v3 in a ported box or 2 sa6.5s

If you absolutely want the smallest box possible go with a sd4 8 in a sealed box

Thank you I have another question since I'm not running crossovers I have a mid base in each of my doors and a tweeter in each of my a pillars there's no crossover to wire them to how do I wire that up to hook it up to my amp?

Okay got it you're going to have to run new wire.

I have another question I'm still a bit confused I have a sub out on the back of my head unit does that plug into the DSP?
I'd your dsp has front rear and sub inputs yes if it doesn't just use the front and rear for the dsp and then run from the dsp to the sub inputs of the amp.

You lose subwoofer control in the headunit this way which is why alot of people run bass knobs when wire that way.

You could run straight from the headunit to the sub amp but then you are relying on the headunits internal dsp to tune the subs.

Alot of dsps come with a bass knob or level knob to control the sub output level or master volume level depending on the dsp

This is the DSP I plan on getting not sure exactly how to hook everything up it looks like a pretty good unit.

I'm sure it's a fine unit. From the looks of it you will be using front and rear RCA outputs of your headunit to drive the dsp then channel 1&2 got to the amps 1&2 or front for tweeters, 3&4 go to the amps 3&4 or rear for the mids, and 5&6 go to the amps sub input.

So 5 sets of rcas total 2 going in and 3 going out

Just read the manual before setting it up. The dsp is just a go between for the headunit and amp.

Once you have the dsp the only setting on the amp you should be using is the gain everything else would be off or set to flat. Same for the head unit. I recommend some kind of control knob for the subs so you can adjust them for each kind of music.

Mosconi has a remote controller for the dsp and they had actual bass knobs for the sub channels. I believe both are added on cost

A 6 channel and a single sub amp would be my choice. Or a 2ch, 4ch and a sub amp. You don't need 2 channels for subs.
