Once I was able to get my hands on RCAs(they were pretty expensive back then) It was a God send. I worked on friday Nights and sat, and some Sundays installing simple systems and was able to get some for trade off of working, and extra wiring,ect,. Learned quite a bit and even experienced some new gear the Cheater amp Erra. Good times and good people

audioban suggested i look at the screw it and glue it kits on gp audio. i still need to check box to subs and see what i have for vol. yes, ive seen a few videos where they misjudged the box and couldnt get it in the trunk. ive had 3 back surgeries and a fourth on the way. i take my time and if i have to build it in the trunk, then so be it. im not yanking on something unless i have to. thats why i asked if i needed to go with the compact or the high output. its a 4 inch width difference.

It's rarely the side to side measurement that gets you when trying to fit something into a trunk, it's making the angle going down and in.

Anyway, if someone sells a flat pack assemble at home kit that sounds decent for saving on shipping. Worth a shot if someone has vouched for the dimensions/tuning of the box being as advertised.


Lots of us aren't spring chickens anymore, I had to have a hernia repaired last year and wrestling 80+ pound woofers is pretty dead for me. Find some young fellas do help you lift the heavy stuff for mounting/installation.

since i already have the remote wite tan to the trunk for the first amp, can i just do a jumper from the 5 channel over to the tara amp?

all the young fellas around here have their noses buried in a phone or live in moms basement. southeast ga in the summer? you cant get them outside.. i dont get the younger generation, you couldnt keep me inside when i was a young person.

i read it runs hot using 2ohm speakers but on 4 ohm speakers it would run cooler for longer periods of time right?

well, amazon done screwed up the order. they sent me 2 digital amps instead of 2 subwoofers. i hate that crap. maybe they will still have them in stock by the time they refund me my money and can get them then. maybe they wont mess up the monoamp

What kind of digital amps? Do you get to keep them?

to be honest, all i know is that they are both taraamps, i didnt even look at the model numbers. i was miffed about not having my subs...lol... i doubt they would let me keep them, since they have to credit my bank account back.

amazon has the americanbass 1044 xfl 3000 watt, i can get 2 of them cheaper than i can the 1044 2000 watt. is there a particular reason you chose the 2000 over the 3000?

are the ridged rolled surrounds better than the foam ones? is it worth going up a step higher than the xfl series or what would you recommend.
