So, I got a new alternator and its rated at 257 at 1800RPM's and I got 2 fuses one rated at 250 and another rated at 300. I dont know if I should use either fuse or just use a bunch of zip ties running down the wire so it never moves lol.

Amps pretty good. 1000 at 1 ohm. I aint pushing the full 1200 though. Why you say need better amp?

If you want to get the max out of those subs then you should have at least a 2K amp. You are under powering them right now IMO. A good rule of thumb is two times the total rms of your subs. You have 1,200 total watts rms. 1,200 X 2 = 2,400 watt amp or close to it.

2 rockford fosgates P3D4 and a thunder 1000.1 ( 1000) watts at 1ohm
10's or 12's? I am pushing my P3D4 10's with a RF Prime 1200w amp @ 1 ohm. I am using a 300a circuit breaker near the battery and the 1200w amp has 120a fuse just before the amp. No issues. They hit pretty good but used to hit better in my G6 GT. That was a 125a alternator, I am using the stock 90a in this Elantra and you can tell big time that the amp isn't pushing as good as it was with a bigger alternator.

Thunder 1000... MTX?
