i just picked up some old school stuff and was wonder if my audio art 400.2 amp will be enough to power my 2 cerwin vega strokers.any info will be helpful thanks.
I highly doubt it. Audio Art is made for SQ applications while CW Strokers are SPL oriented. It would be like making garage sale posters with a calligraphy pen. Are they the OG Strokers?2 cerwin vega strokers.any info will be helpful thanks.
The subs are old school cv 12d2 dual 4 ohm
Picture? You would be better off using the Audio Art for components and getting a Class D for the CVs. Class Ds are more efficient than old school amps so size will be minimal and easy on your electrical. The subs are old school cv 12d2 dual 4 ohm
Wire them to 4 ohms for the pair and that amp will run them. Not to full potential, but will run them wired to 4 ohm Bridged on the amp. The subs will perform much deeper and at full potential wired to a final 1ohm load, and you would need to find a mono amp to handle a 1ohm stable final load. But be a great front stage SQ amplifier no doubt if it works well alsoThe subs are old school cv 12d2 dual 4 ohm
thanks for the replies. the back of my speakers says 1000 watts total is that rms or peak?
They must be the newer model. That is RMS. The 10" is 800 RMS.That should be peak
How many times are you gonna post this lame @ss pic retard?
I stand corrected, most of the time the "total power" rating means peakThey must be the newer model. That is RMS. The 10" is 800 RMS.View attachment 35547

Whats wrong with making garage sale posters with a calligraphy pen?I highly doubt it. Audio Art is made for SQ applications while CW Strokers are SPL oriented. It would be like making garage sale posters with a calligraphy pen. Are they the OG Strokers?
