Ah ok yeah I wasn't 100% positive if you did it that way or the dvd. Yeah WIndows only does 2.0 for the install as it doesn't install 3.0 drivers or it didn't use to but for using a USB install it should always be in 2.0.
For mine I had to then download the USB 3.0 drivers for my motherboard and install them from there.
Also Buck I noticed on the Asus support page there was some updates iirc for your motherboard, Network card and so on. Might want to check into that.
I mean in the OS install, windows will provide drivers for USB 2.0 and below. USB 3.0 drivers will be from the motherboard manufacturer. What do you mean? You mean as the USB OS install?
It's nothing to worry about... things don't always get explained. Most assume that a person building a computer already know what they need or what to do. Sometimes the 1st time builder gets left in the wind.See I had no idea about that, and it wasn't explained in the manual for the OS or the motherboard.
This is why I ALWAYS have at least 1 optical drive... in this computer I have two. A blue ray DVD player and a DVD burner. Fail safes in case USB fail.If my case didn't have USB 2.0 ports, I would've been f'd lol.
