I'm currently running a slotted sq box but I want a ground pounder and heard the 4th order bandpass is the way to go. It's going in a 04 impala ss on a skar rp2000.1d. It sounds great overall but I know this sub can pound alot harder. Someone plz help me out.thanks in advance

For starters, get it in a hatchback or SUV and you'd gain 4-6dB right off the rip from not having it in a trunk. I've seen very competitive numbers out of the MTX 95xx in ported alignment, if you can't get loud ported 4th order bandpass isn't likely to be your silver bullet, but do report back and let us know how it goes for you. If you DIY you're only out 50$ worth of materials and a day's work to try it.

Dont get me wrong it is definitely loud but it's an old box pretty beat up and think its holding it back. I got it pretty cheap found it sitting in a pawn shop. A friend of mine just recently got a 4th order bandpass for his single American bass 12. Before he couldn't compete with me but now he is definitely moving more air than me and he is hitting lows so clean. I already picked up 2 sheets of MDF I just dont really know where to start. I want to make sure that it's designed around my subs parameters. Just trying to make the best of what i have right now.
