Best 2-2.5k subs for musical accuracy that can get loud too???

SSA Zcon.
Only reason I'd prefer the btls is the new neos are much lighter, love SSA subs, thought about doing a single evil 15 since iv got about 4.5 cubes to work with.
Still think I'd be happier with two twelves and more coil to drive harder. Those evils look so good tho, and likely would be enough in my Civic coupe lol. Just seems like single sub setups always get so hot

Thinking about a civic... the Zcon 12 Ask is for about 2.25 cubes but stated optimal Ported recommendation is 2.5-3.25 per sub and it’s internal depth is 7.5”. the fi btl neo is 11+
inches Internal depth which is going to force you to build a super deep enclosure (possibly too deep to have anything but enclosure in your trunk and in trunk build. It seems you could be undersized on both and less than ideal box dimensions on the neos. A single 15”with that power handling or lower power handling Dual 12” might be a good consideration

I hear ya, biggest I could go without having to do a build in would be right at4
.5 cubes net. Box depth @23in means enough room for 12s but I'm really wanting to save weight on this install as well.
An evil 15 weighs 77 lbs and the two neo 12s weigh 110, zcons would be 140.
I have heard nothing but stellar things about the evil and that the cooling is great so they can pound for a long time and take their rated power.
I do keep coming back to that single epic 15 in my mind, also bigger subs offer a more visceral impact. Everyone says the evil is very accurate and musical. It does make sense, I just always hear everyone complaining about single subs getting hot.

I've always had the best luck running multiple subs for daily as I tend to push them hard and often. I can run two twelves or three or four tens easily( my go to for a long time) and have more coil to handle the constant abuse.
Also if I do four tens I can put two in each of two boxes and bolt them together and bypass a build in which would be a big win. To hell with trunk space I want bass lol
