So Im getting my suburban setup soon. I need suggestions for subs, speakers and a 4 channel and bass amp. Trying to go for a daily beater but also musical and a clean crisp sound to it.

Budget :
2 15’s ($500 max for each)
4 6.5 ($300 max for all 4)
4 tweeters ($100 max for all 4)
sub amp/s ($800 max)
4 channel ($400 max)

i know this isnt really a budget build but if anyone can get write a system under $2k that will be even better
Thank u.

Just a few suggestions. Obviously, buy two sets of the Focal components. Right at $2,200. You could save $500 if you went with 2 American Bass 1544 and a Taramps Bass 5K. Then, it would be around $1,700. Electrical would need to be straight though. Big alternator, two AGM's, and 1/0 big three.

you Really don’t need 4 tweeters or 6.5’s. And really good front stage will be optimal and save your money, leave your factory speakers if you want rear fills. also Signal is king what’s your headunit? that will determine what $2k can get you

I would suggest two good midbass speakers, two good midrange, and two good tweets. Plus, a good sub setup. I don't like the big gap between a tweet/midrange/sub setup. I think midbass is overlooked. He would benefit from a 2 tweets, 2 midrange, and two midbass setup. Dump the four tweets.

What if he has passengers? I'm assuming he bought a Suburban for reasons other than he likes buying gas.

Very much this. Spend your entire component budget on some better quality fronts.

Alternately, if any of these Q form kicks will fit in your burban you could do a set in your stock front location and a set in the kicks with good results:

Have you decided how much space you want to sacrifice for a box? Can you build one yourself? Have you budgeted for this?

I do not believe you want to go much larger than a 3000W amp if you only plan a HO alternator and even then it'll be pushing things pretty hard. Pair something like that up with some of the new Adire Brahma subs, those get loud and sound good along the way and are a great 1200W sub. Would be about my top choice if I were buying new in that budget.

I've got a very nice Focal 4x150 amp for the fronts if you're interested at 400$. Fresh refurb from Zed Audio.

I have a 2003 Landcruiser and my Tweet/mid front stage is gobs louder than Speakers In the 4 doors ever was. Even in the far back. Suburban wouldn’t be any different, if he’s going to do monster subs like that I assume he isn’t planning on folks in the third row.

Makes sense if you're comparing aftermarket speakers with an amp on them to oem speakers. Any speaker sounds louder the closer you are to it, so if you have passengers, you have to turn it up for them to hear the music at their preferred volume, which might mean the driver has to listen at higher volume than he/she prefers. Why not install decent speakers all around, so the whole vehicle hears the same amount of volume, so you can talk to eachother over the music if desired? It boils down to needing more info about intended use. Is OP building for himself or for a family?

If you can find these in your area. Id recommend these for drop ins. They play from 40Htz on up. Sound very nice on amplified power for premium...
