Hi everyone, recently I got into sound system stuff when I found my dad's old school stash. From the stash, I found a dual channel Orion 250sx, two Apache Amps 600w and 400w, a pair of Blaupunkt Velocity VPC10D woofers and a Pyle preamp. I've installed the Orion 250sx into my stock car head unit ( Ford Ranger T6 )with aftermarket front component speakers (Lightning Audio LA 1652S) but did not use the preamp because it's introducing distortion. Then for woofer, I did my own fibreglass enclosure to mount it under the back under seat storage tray. The problems I'm facing now is which amp I should use to power the sub woofer as I can't find any details about the Apache Amps online and how do I connect it to my head unit without the use of preamps. Also, I'm not sure which amps from the stash I should use to power my rear speaker (Rockford Fosgate Punch P1675). Sorry for the long post but I'm still fairly new in this field.

Should I get a different amp for this sub or should I use it? This is the photo of the Apache Amps

Since 1990 I have never seen or heard of that brand. Perhaps someone else has. I say, hook it up and see if it pushes the sub. Also, you could take off the bottom cover and show us the "guts" of the amp. The insides tell alot.

this is the ‘guts’ of the apache amps

Okay, my friend offered me his 4 channel amplifier Eclipse EA 4100, should I use it for my front and rear speaker then use Orion 250sx solely for the woofer ?

Okay, i’ll Pick the amp from my friend. Another question is my sub has a dual voice coil design, should I connect the positive and negative of the sub then wire to the amp or I can just wire the positive and negative directly from the amp to the sub without connecting the positive and negative of the sub?

okay thanks. Now i'm facing another problem with the enclosure, from the manual, it says that the sub needs 0.5 cubic feet for sealed box, i've just measured my enclosure and its only 0.31 cubic foot excluding the sub. Will the speaker have any problem with my enclosure ?
