Well, considering that with the progression of technology, and the superiority of today's stuff, I really don't have an "old school" dream system. That old junk doesnt hold a candle to today's stuff. Anyone who thinks differently is a nostalgic fool, plain and simple. (if you disagree, show me SOLID proof, not your wishy-washy "well, i think..." bullshit.

my hcca 225 pushes my 1508 better than my 1200d does at 4 ohms

You are intitled to your opinion, but no one said anything about comparing the O/S to the New. Will a 2009 GT outperform a 1965 289ci stang..................yes, but does that mean the heritage that paved the way for that performance is junk...........not IMO. Show some respect for the companies that laid the path for our hobby to be what it is today.
