Selenium ST350's Have you tried them? Worth it?

Interested in changing my front stage and adding a set of Selenium ST350 supertweeters.

What Im curious about is, there frequency responce of 2,500-20,000 Hz, would they still play music/singing and just get really loud doing it? Or how exactly do they sound.

Im thinking of running them along side 4 PG RSD 6.5's in the doors (2 rsd's and 1 ST350 per door) And running them off a cheap 2 chanel amp Ive got that puts out 150 rms bridged @ 4ohm so wiring the 2 ST350's together giving them 75 rms a piece.

I dont like the RSD tweets so Im gonna throw those away, and will stop using the crossovers, and just wire the RSD's to there own 4 chanel directly.

How would the ST350's add to this setup. Im looking to make a really vocal loud setup, like REALLY loud. And obivously on a budget trying to use equipment i have. and for $35 these are pretty cheap supertweeters

what do you plan on using for an xover for the mids and tweets?
I dont plan on using any crossovers. I do still have the 4 PG rsd crossovers. But I didnt plan on using them. Was simply going to hook the 4 6.5" mids to one amp and the ST350's to the other amp.

Im on the fence if I should simply run 2 of the st350's, on my cheap 2 chanel amp. Or pick up four of them, fix the kicker 4 chanel 650.4 and give them some more power.

Do they need crossovers?

Do you have them run on crossovers though? I was hoping to set there crossover points simply on the amps to not allow them to play the lows, but my kicker amps only has 50 - 200hz. Was thinking they may even be higher than 200hz. Where do they like to be crossed?

I do have the Pheonix Gold crossovers though, if I needed to pass the wire through them first, and only run the tweeter output to the ST350's on the crossover and not use the mid output. Would they still be seeing all the power? Dont know what the PG crossovers are set at for the tweets though

Ok So I pretty much just need to buy this:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=266-286

Or this:

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=266-220

Is there a difference in the quality of either of those parts? Ones 10X more expensive. They both seem to do the same thing. But the cheaper one blocks a certain frequency @ 4ohm and a certain frequency @ 8ohm. Which number would apply for me? The expensive RCA one I linked doesnt have an ohm rating, or does it not matter and its starting freq is always 2.5khz since it goes through the amps rcas.

This is how I would wire them with the bass stoppers inline witht he positive lead right

Thats why Im confused as to which positive inline bass stopped I would need for 2.5khz and up

And xprime no I dont have any pics, my sig isnt current. I pulled the 2 Aq's temp so I can build my wall (which will be in within 2 weeks). Itll be 4 of the Aq 15's walled behind my second row. RIght now Ive got a 15" WIldbeast

I cant find any info on how my PG crossovers would work on just sending signal to the tweets, cant find there crossover point, or would it be easier to simply run some of these "bass blockers", but I just have to figure out what I have to buy

Just realized these bass stopper inlines are only rated for 150rms...... Would I be able to run 1 for each driver so I would need a total of 4 and just wire them this way

I dont know im just guessing at this point til I get some direction

Get an RCA based crossover. Much simpler, cleaner, and these others are just not worth the hassle.

My recommendation is to get a full one with pre-outs to all of your amps. Then you can set crossover frequencies for tweets, and mids, with one crossover. You need to cross the tweets, playing the low frequencies isn't good for them.

Well those FMOD rca crossover connectors are way to expensive, they cost as much as the tweeters themselves, aswere the bass stoppers are only $3 a piece, but i am unclear on how they would have to be wired for my specific setup that I pictured above and which I would need for my wiring etc.

I only need crossovers for my tweets to allow them to not go below 2.5KHz, thats all Im looking for. The 4 PG RSD 6.5" mids Im gonna run on there own amp has crossovers built in that will be just fine

Its just that the kicker amp is meant more for subs, and the built in crossovers highest point is 200hz, so I need something external.
