That makes zero sense. But whatever.I said it once... Ill say it again... if the voice coil is SHORTED... it means its still connected... and once you get it hot enough (turning up the voulme giving the sub some more juice) the coil shorts out again...
If the coil was shorted the amp would never turn on because it would sense a dead short. (no resistance, "OL" on the DVOM)I said it once... Ill say it again... if the voice coil is SHORTED... it means its still connected... and once you get it hot enough (turning up the voulme giving the sub some more juice) the coil shorts out again...Happened to a friend of mine. Take the sub out and use a DMM and messaure the coils... and check the tensel leads. They are still connected but just check them for dark spots.
225 pixels man, not 264 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifi have dual 2 ohm sub, should it read 1.5? i wired it in parrallel
I have the exact same set up and my s hit rocks. No popping noises what so ever, just amazingly loud clarity. How is it sounding otherwise?Sorry to thread jack but ****... I thought I was the only one having these popping problems . I recently installed my XXX 12" w/ a Soundstream VanGogh 1600w in a ported box. Everything's wired up properly w/ zero gage wiring and a 2 farad cap. Also, my stock BMW battery is pretty big and sits in the back of the trunk. I don't know what's the problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Rated coil impedance is nominal. Its rarely the exact number advertised when actually measured. 1/4ohm deviation from nominal doesn't sound unusual to me.yes but i wired the dual 2 in parallel for 1 ohm, should it exactly read 1 ohm, because im getting 1.5ohms
