Confused about Brahma 10"

The website listed it's mouting depth at 6.875" but an email from Adire Audio tech support said I only needed 6".... Was there a change in the lineup or was it a typo (I e-mailed him back of course but I was hoping someone on here could answer it for me faster)

NM just got the reply.."The depth from the back of the mounting flange to the back of the

backplate is 6.75"; assuming 3/4" thick material for the box, and a

front mount, you would need an internal height of 6" for clearance for

the Brahma 10. We recommend that you have at least 0.5" between the

back of the Brahma and a rear wall, meaning you need at least 6.5"

internal depth."

So, my 6.1" of space isn't enough???????????? I wish I knew more about this crap so I wouldn't have to pester people about it lol

I hope you have the Brahma 10 sale already lined up, because they are no longer available new from Adire under the old configuration. And the new Brahma, which is not yet available, will be very different (smaller version).

IMO the old Brahma 10's should be snatched up whenever someone finds one for sale. Like I said, Adire wont be making any 10" subs as beefy as the old Brahma is. The new flag ship SQL sub, the Tumult, wont be available in a 10.

The specs show otherwise. Less excursion, smaller vc, etc. The new Tumults are a closer comparison to the old Brahmas (but better).
