well i have alot of tools on hand, it's just gettin it out and gettin a new one, if i can change the oil on my car i'm pretty sure i can change a starter on it as well...hopefully

when you turn the key to the on position do all the accesories work. and when you try to crank it over it makes a clicking sound and all the accesories turn off? my car does this every once in a while cause i don't tighten the terminals on the battery enough. clean the terminals with baking soda and water and tighten them really good on the battery. this usually solves the problem for me

well my terminals are corroded as **** i can't even get the ground terminal off or the postive one, my wrench just slides off when i try to loosen them, would it be okay to put the bakin soda and water with them connected or not?

yea you can do that when they are connected just don't pour an assload of it on them, 1/2 cup on each terminal should do the trick. scrub the terminals with a toothbrush after the foaming goes down and and then you can disconnect them. i got a feeling that the wires might have some corrosion in them too, check the wires and if they are, then you'll have to replace those too. lemme know if this helped

update: got my car fixed, got a new starter in it, runs better then ever and a new battery for it and nowi got to make sure i never get any corroded battery terminals again. so thanks again for everyone's input on this topic, it's helped me out alot and i'll know what to look for if this ever happens again, i appreciate it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
