I was going in to do the big three on the Bonneville build, and was surprised to see the stock wires were 4 gauge! I didn't think there would be anything near that big stock.

My 1996 Impala had a single 10 (TEN) guage wire from the battery to the frame !

I get no voltage movement with my BRX 2400.1 I also managed to get a 180 amp alternator.

How big is the engine/battery? Usually bigger alts, batts, engine would make bigger factory wiring.

Example, my Tahoe obviuosly is the 350 5.7 block, so naturally it has a bit beefier wiring, which is 2 gauge.

3.8 liter v6. stock had a 110amp alt but I put a 180amp in it when the stock died. I think it's a group 31 battery but I may be wrong.

You should see my s10 wiring...it's small prob 10 gauge.
