I'll tell ya what.......I will swap it out for you if you find someone that is needing to buy an alternator. If their car is different from yours' date=' I will swap it out for an alt for their car. This way you can get your money back and hopefully stop all the bickering. You will be able to sell the alternator as new since we are willing to swap it out.

ill consider the offer, and i appreciate it. but i highly doubt id be willing to find a buyer willing to pay near what i did for it, seeing as the ford taurus is not a highly sought after vehicle in the mobile audio field, and most of the owners of these cars arent in the target area. but if i find a buyer, i will let you know.
Its nice to hear both sides.
As for the rotor issue, that unit is right by the passenger front wheel. Any chance you missing part of the inner wheel well liner? That would cause excessive moisture. Just a thought.
i wasnt missing any of the weel liner that i was aware of, not to say its not possible. that alt is a severe PITA to change, and even after changing it several times, it was still over a one hour chore to do myself... you had to take most of the passenger side apart, and even then the alt BARELY fits in there...
