WOW My system just got completely disrespected.... lol

Just a heads up, although the P2s are the punch line and maybe not up to par with RF power series, the p2s pack a little punch and can get loud and be accurate. I run 2 10" p2s sealed in my Camaro and its a very clean, decently loud setup. Just a temporary system to get buy while i get the real one rolling. But be careful with those p2s, i've seen them out perform other "higher quality" subs many a times
i had the same in my eclipse. Now im working on a build with my fully loaded 18" btl. put those 10s in the girlfriends cobalt last night. thats all she needs for now, and they sound pretty decent.

Im not following why your system was 'completely disrespected' simply because your buddy bought a system too.
Its just a figure of speech. He just called me up and was like "I just dropped a whole stack on a new system man and it bangs!!! I got it all from best buy,. the dude there told me it was 1000watts! It kills your system in everyway!!"

just take the drive to ocala and pay the entry fee so the meter can make the real winner

Not to be an ******* or anything, but how does the meter determine the real winner? I'm tired of build logs and threads where the first phrase out of everyone's mouth is "did you get it metered?".

To truly see who has the "better" audio setup, metering it would have like only a 1/3rd of the significance as to other components such as transient response, abnormal peaks, SQ, rattles in the car, etc. Even if he gets louder with that prefab/loaded box, it's not going to sound like anything pretty. On top of that, it's an AB class amp so it's big bulky, and inefficient for the little amount of power it produces. Anyways, just my .02

^ X2

I used to run a set of rockfords in a prefab box back in highschool, and they were indeed quite loud for what they cost.

The problem with that setup: they were peaky and muddy, and generally not musical in any way.

What good is "loud" if it sounds like a long, drawn out burp or fart?
