Would you drive a cop car?

My dad bought a 2006 Crown Vic Police Interceptor w/90k miles two years ago and now he doesn't want it anymore and wants to sell it, so I thought maybe it can be a cheap reliable car to beat around town in. It's bone stock but has the heavy duty police package, a 200 amp alternator, huge trunk and a steel cow catcher for those PIT maneuvers. I did some research and apparently the 2006+ Police Interceptors are the best ones made yet. After this it's all going to be based on the new Taurus.

Beside scaring the shit outta friends and never get anywhere on the road due to people driving really slow around you, would you rock that cop car for $3000?

For 3 grand, I would say its a good deal. The only reason I would worry is because cops CONSTANTLY are beating the shit out of those cars, always flooring it no matter where they are going.(at least around here they do...)

I've owned 3-4, a 2004 is suppose to be the best year yet, but yes 2006 is an awesome model year, first year they came with the 17" rims.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I m not a minority either but I would love to own a crown vic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they got some power and I suppose with the police package it is much better. I would rock one no problem, with some pimping sound system and all that. Maybe get some performance 20 inch rims with some performance tires to compliment the vehicle.

I wouldn't buy one cuz they are all automatic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If I drove an automatic, it will absolutely be my first choice of car, no contest.

Now I know where I'm getting my alternator...gunna run to a u-pull-it and search for a popoceptor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif 200amp, yessir.

The cop car is from a town of 18,000, it's a town that'll pull you over for something as dumb as things hanging from your rearview mirror or too dark of a tint so the cop car isn't as beat up as ones from a big city. It has 17" rims and fire suppression system in the trunk, it might have Kevlar lined in the doors but I donno.

If I remember right you can shift the auto transmission in cop cars from R to D while the car is in fast motion without breaking it, thus giving them the ability to do spectacular burnouts like in SuperTroopers.
