Would this Sundown 15" be a good buy?

I am considering this subwoofer by Sundown: https://sundownaudio.com/lv/sa/subwoofers/u-series/

It says 3.0ft3 for the box. Tuned at 35hz. Could I go 3.25ft3 and tune at 33hz. On woofersetc website they say it has 30mm xmax. Do you think thats true?

You are all over the place. You went from a Korean board 1200 and an HDC3 12 to wanting two high excursion 1500rms 12s to a single U 15" in 3 cubes on a 1200 watt Chinese board amp?

Not really understanding what exactly you are looking for.

What were you not happy with out of your HDC3 12 and Q1200? Low end? The U is a fantastic subwoofer but not exactly a "low end" driver.

If you want a 15" that is decent in smaller boxes, cheap, and pairs up well with a 1200 watt amp look at the Dayton MX, Dayton HO, or Dayton UM subwoofers.

I'm not clicking the links. What do you mean is it a good buy? Also you have to post what amp you are using for honest box recommendations.

And I am using a SoundQubed 1250 watt amp the S1-1250. Whats wrong with that amp? What amp do you recommend for either the SI SQL 15" or the Sundown U 15"

Never said they weren't. Just wondering why you would go from a Q-1200 to an S-1250. Doesn't make sense. The Q line is Korean and they are fantastic amps. I have had 7 of their Korean amps.

I would get the SI SQL of those options. I would have kept the Q 1200 as well.

Is that too much power for the SI 15"? The amp is 1500watts RMS and the sub handles 1000watts RMS.

At 14.4 volts this amp actually pumps out 1400watts RMS plus. Not 1000watts RMS that its rated.
