i know they make them.. duh thats a no brainer.. lookin for a cheap 1 ohm stable amp but able to have a little longevity
Also, I think a lot of people on this board are sore because JL doesn't make equipment designed to be used in SPL competitions. It's funny seeing people with SPL equipment/setups in their sigs knocking JL subs or pricing.
The guys at JL would have a laugh and would be the first to admit their products aren't designed for SPL applications.
Good way to put it. The JL w6v2 is regarded highly as an SQ driver, but to each his own. Glad to see you are not bashing it....I feel the same way....yes, it is no doubt expensive equipment but it is suited for many people's needs. You make good points. But I am an SQ person and I still would never use JL products for my car whether I can afford it or not (which I can). I just think its over priced for what it does. I think the money that is spent on one of their amps or subs could be better utilized somewhere else in the system. I have a P9 combo and I chose PRS amps and subs because the PRS subs are better for SQ than any JL sub in my opinion. I'm not a JL hater. I just don't like the blind following their equipment gets. "It's JL it has to be awesome and has to be worth the price". I can't get into a name like that. As much as I love absolute sound quality I am also about value and JL isn't much of a value to me at those prices.
Back in the 90s I almost bought 3 of the original W6s. They were dual 6 ohm and could be wired into a 4 ohm load. Back then the 2 ohm stable amps weren't as available as they are today so that came in very handy.Good way to put it. The JL w6v2 is regarded highly as an SQ driver, but to each his own. Glad to see you are not bashing it....I feel the same way....yes, it is no doubt expensive equipment but it is suited for many people's needs.
First of all, you said 12 inch JL W7 and NOT that the other woofer had to be 12 inches.LOL, are you kidding me?A few things, they're the complete opposite of what I said. They need quite a bit of power to reach full potential, and they need huge boxes. And they do not go for $250 BNIB with warranty. . . . BTW: I said 12".
