Jesus dude...whats with you and this? Maybe some people like the pride of ownership of high end gear? Some people want to open their trunk and have people say oooo shit JL...otherwise he wouldn't have W7s.

Its the friggin truth your r-tard...why spend $700 on "high-end power" when you can get nearly 3 times the power, with just as good build quality and the same signal quality...jeesh...

Once you learn to read you will not ignore my statement about pride of ownership. When I open my trunk and show off JL i am making a much bigger statement than showing off some company half the world has never heard of.

If you care more about getting a reaction from people who don't know anything about car audio than you do about getting good equipment at a good price, then you need to find a different forum. The majority of us would rather have something that no one in our area is running and that grants our systems a level of individuality than a system that every rapper or pro athelete gets when his car is on Unique Whips.

I think the point j3bus2k3 is try to make it that you can spend less money and get the same performance as a JL amps, or you could spend the same amount and get something better.

as far as "pride of ownership" ill feel alot more pride with ArcAudio than JLAudio.

but thats just me.

well to op, i have a ppi dcx 1000.1 i just got but i decided to do something different and run an entire jbl setup. like new in original box and can do 265 shipped on it. underrated 1k watts at 1 ohm

If that was a FACT that JL was overpriced they would be out of business because no one would be purchasing their products.

The very fact that they are still in business and going strong is proof that their products are priced appropriately for their target market.

Think what you may about JL product owners...."noobx", "uneducated", "fanboi", etc. But obviously plenty people are willing to purchase the products for the price they are presently at.

I wouldn't go that far Squeak. I think that JL makes great products, and I would never fault a person for owning JL equipment. The reason JL is still in business is that they have a huge amount of exposure, and many of the people who own their equipment don't know they can get the same performance for less money. It can't be worded much more simple that that.

If it was overpriced, it wouldn't sell.

It sells, and sells well. Thus, it's not overpriced.

You can't compare a small-time internet company with low overhead and comparatively smaller profit margin to a multi-million dollar company with nationwide presence as a basis of comparing price dollar for dollar. JL has much larger advertising expense, dealer network, wages, building expenses (not of the product, but the physical premises), research and development expense, etc etc.

I'm glad you found a comparable product that you would rather own at a more affordable price. Good for you.

That does not inherently mean JL is "overpriced". They are very obviously priced quite well given their sales figures.

lol yall can hate on JL all day for they're prices, but if you were to take away the price tag from them and would compare them the way you look at your favorite products now you would be very impressed, I am not saying I like jl, but they do make a solid product and with the exposure they have there are plenty of people that are not trying to save money and will pay it just to say they have JL. Would I pay that much for JL, hell ****ing no, would I pay that much for something like DD yes.
